Will Ecobyte manage my new site for me?

Once the project is deemed complete, you'll have the option to either make any future changes on your own: content, plugin adjustments, and so on, or you can choose to employ Ecobyte to make those changes on your behalf for the agreed upon hourly rate originally discussed with your designer.

Are there any recurring costs?

Yes, but they're optional. In additional the cost of the project, you'll have to consider whether you'd like to keep some aspects of the project activated or up-to-date:

  • webAccess expires after one year, the annual cost of renewal is $690.
  • Theme updates will no longer be pushed to your website after one year. The annual cost of theme updates and support for the latest versions of WordPress is $49.

These charges are optional and should you choose to not pay them on the date of renewal, you can choose to resubscribe anytime after.

How long is web hosting included for?

With every Ecobyte WordPress Development project, you'll receive one included year of Hurricane, our most powerful shared hosting package.

After the first year, you will be billed the annual rate for that shared hosting package. You have the option to renew on a different shared hosting package, virtual machine, dedicated server, or cancel your shared hosting plan and transfer to a third-party provider.

Please note that Ecobyte's support for your website is limited once you transition away from the Ecobyte server environment.

How does billing work for projects?

Ecobyte Web Services: Web Hosting, Software Development, and Branding requires an initial work order deposit of 40 hours to begin any project, with the option to accept project deposits up to 80 hours.

Progress will halt once the purchased work hours are met or exceeded, until a new deposit of 5 hours or more is provided. If our designers exceed the initially purchased hours while adding finishing touches to your project, a final invoice will be generated upon completion.

Upon agreement that the project is finished and any outstanding balance is settled, we will transfer the website to your shared hosting package included with your WordPress Development project.

Not all of the hours I purchased were used?

If you have any unused project hours, fear not! At Ecobyte, we've got you covered. Any additional project hours left at the completion of your project will automatically be converted into account credit. This credit can then be applied towards the purchase of any of our top-notch products or services. So, not only do you get the satisfaction of completing your project, but you also get rewarded with the flexibility to choose from our impressive offerings. It's a win-win situation!
