Will Ecobyte manage my new site for me?
Once the project is deemed complete, you'll have the option to either make any future changes on your own: content, plugin adjustments, and so on, or you can choose to employ Ecobyte to make those changes on your behalf for the agreed upon hourly rate originally discussed with your designer.
In addition to full support from Ecobyte, you may also reach out to Shopify's support channels with issues relating to your account.
Are there any recurring costs?
Yes, there are recurring costs associated with using Shopify's eCommerce tools. To ensure your online store remains in good standing, it is important to make reliable and timely payments. Shopify accepts both monthly and annual subscription payments for their cloud services and intricate eCommerce platform and intuitive marketing tools.
Additional costs may be incurred by platforms you choose to advertise on through Shopify's marketing tools.
Recurrings costs are optionally incurred with Ecobyte–all Shopify Implementation projects come with one year of webAccess by Ecobyte AI to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA and ADA standards. Should you prefer, you don't have to renew this; however, know that there may be legal implications by not offering a fully accessible website per ADA (Title III) regulations.
How long is web hosting included for?
Ecobyte will not be providing web hosting for your Shopify Implementation project. As a cloud-based eCommerce platform, Shopify takes responsibility for developing continuous software updates and maintaining service uptime for your online store.
Please note that a free year of shared web hosting is not included with a Shopify Implementation project.
How does billing work this project?
Ecobyte requires an initial work order deposit of 40 hours to begin any project, with the option to accept project deposits up to 80 hours.
Progress will halt once the purchased work hours are met or exceeded, until a new deposit of 5 hours or more is provided. If our designers exceed the initially purchased hours while adding finishing touches to your project, a final invoice will be generated upon completion.
Upon agreement that the project is finished and any outstanding balance is settled, we will transfer ownership of the Shopify development storefront to you. Once the transfer is complete, you'll log in, provide your payment information to Shopify to cover recurring platform costs, and you will immediately be able to accept orders online through your new Shopify-powered eCommerce website.
Not all of the hours I purchased were used?
If you have any unused project hours, fear not! At Ecobyte, we've got you covered. Any additional project hours left at the completion of your project will automatically be converted into account credit. This credit can then be applied towards the purchase of any of our top-notch products or services.
